The AMD Radeon 760M is an integrated RDNA 3 GPU with 8 compute units at up to 2800MHz that shares system DDR5 memory, found in the Ryzen 5 8600G and select mobile chips.

The Radeon 760M is what you get when AMD trims the 780M down for its more budget-focused desktop chip, four fewer compute units, a slightly lower clock, but the same core RDNA 3 architecture underneath. In practice that means a real step down in gaming headroom from the 780M, but still a genuine improvement over any pre-RDNA integrated graphics AMD or Intel has shipped, and more than adequate for esports titles at 1080p. If your build's graphics needs stop at older or lightweight titles and the budget genuinely can't stretch to the 8700G's 780M or a discrete card, the 760M is a real, usable answer rather than a checkbox spec.

Where the Compute Unit Cut Actually Shows Up

Going from 12 to 8 compute units is roughly a one-third reduction in raw shader throughput, and it shows most clearly in anything beyond esports titles, heavier games that were merely playable on the 780M drop to noticeably choppier frame rates here. For pure esports and 2D/older 3D titles, though, the difference is much less noticeable day to day.

Comparison to Alternatives

Against our AMD Radeon 780M, the 780M's extra compute units make a real difference in anything GPU-intensive, worth the price step up on the host CPU if gaming performance matters at all. Against the older Radeon Vega 8 found in previous-generation AM4 chips, the 760M's RDNA 3 architecture and clock speed give it a clear generational advantage despite the lower compute unit count on paper.
