The AMD Radeon RX 7650 GRE follows the same China-market GRE playbook as the RDNA 2-based 6750 GRE before it, this time built on the RDNA 3 Navi 33 die used in the RX 7600, and it's aimed at the same OEM desktop and regional retail channel.
It's essentially a mildly detuned RX 7600 with AMD's GRE cost/performance positioning applied, offering AV1 encode and FSR 3 support that the older RDNA 2 GRE cards lack entirely. For anyone outside its target markets, the standard RX 7600 covers identical ground and is far easier to actually buy.
Performance & Real-World Use
2048 stream processors on RDNA 3 with a 2544MHz boost clock give the 7650 GRE 1080p-to-1440p performance in the same neighborhood as the standard RX 7600, with the added benefit of RDNA 3's AV1 encode and FSR 3 frame generation support.
