Who Actually Buys This

Small server rooms, branch-office racks, and edge sites where one technician manages a handful of machines but can't always be on-site. The single-user ceiling keeps cost down versus the multi-user G2 models.

What You Get Over a Basic KVM

Encrypted IP sessions, virtual media mounting for remote OS installs, smart-card/CAC authentication, and optional integration with Raritan CommandCenter Secure Gateway for fleet-wide device management, none of which a local-only switch offers.

Comparison to Alternatives

Need a second simultaneous admin at the same 8-port scale? There isn't a DKX3G2-208; step to the DKX3G2-216 (2 users/16 ports) instead.
