Raritan Secure Switch RSS-1024K Review

Raritan Secure Switch RSS-1024K 2-port DVI HDMI VGA USB audio secure KVM switch, NIAP certified, tamper-evident government classified switch without smart card reader

Same 4K video and audio switching as the RSS-102C4K, minus the built-in smart card reader, for classified desks that authenticate outside the KVM and would rather not pay for hardware they won't use.

Trimming the Smart Card Reader

The isolation, video quality, and audio switching are identical to the RSS-102C4K; only the dedicated CAC/smart-card port is removed, which lowers the price.

When This Makes Sense

Sites with a separate standalone card reader, or that don't require smart-card authentication at all, get the full secure-switching and 4K/audio benefit without unnecessary hardware.
