The audio-equipped sibling of the SM-DVN-8S: same 8-port DVI-D switching and OSD menu, but with stereo audio switching added for desks that also need sound to follow the active computer.

Audio Switching Fills the SM-DVN-8S Gap

The plain SM-DVN-8S handles video and USB but leaves audio out; this model adds stereo audio switching so speakers or a headset automatically follow whichever of the 8 computers is active.

Same Reliable 8-Port Core

Video switching, USB peripheral sharing, and the OSD source menu are unchanged from the SM-DVN-8S, this is a feature addition, not a different generation of hardware.

Comparison to Alternatives

If audio isn't needed, the SM-DVN-8S costs less for the same 8-port count.
