The SmartAVI FDX-RX2000S is the receiver half of the discontinued FDX-2000S DVI-D KVM extender, decoding video, USB and audio at the remote end of a 300 ft Cat5e/6 run.
This is the remote-room half of the pair, buy it only alongside or to match an existing FDX-TX2000S, since a receiver alone can't do anything; the discounted price reflects SmartAVI clearing discontinued stock, not the unit still being current.
The Remote End of the Pair
The RX2000S sits at the far end of the cable run, taking the transmitter's encoded signal and outputting DVI-D video, USB HID, and stereo audio to a keyboard, mouse, monitor and speakers in the remote room.
