Alienware Graphics Amplifier vs ASUS ROG XG Mobile: Comparison
Which should you buy, Alienware Graphics Amplifier or ASUS ROG XG Mobile?
it is not the pick for anyone wanting USB-C laptop charging through the eGPU cable. It also earns its place with owners of a compatible older Alienware or Dell G-Series laptop with the Amplifier Port. It is not the one for any laptop without the specific Alienware Graphics Amplifier Port, since the connector is proprietary. Take the ASUS ROG XG Mobile for existing ROG Flow X13/X16/Z13 owners wanting the single fastest available eGPU performance with zero setup complexity. Avoid it for buyers with any other laptop brand, genuinely zero compatibility outside the ROG Flow lineup. Our rating of the Alienware Graphics Amplifier (6/10): strong bandwidth for its era, but locked to a short list of older Alienware and Dell G-Series laptops. Our rating of the ASUS ROG XG Mobile (9/10): the fastest ultra-compact eGPU available, an integrated RTX 5070 Ti with proprietary low-latency connectivity, limited exclusively to ROG Flow devices.
