NVIDIA ASUS Prime OC GeForce RTX 5070 Ti vs AMD XFX Swift Radeon RX 9070 XT: Comparison
NVIDIA ASUS Prime OC GeForce RTX 5070 Ti vs AMD XFX Swift Radeon RX 9070 XT boost clock compared
Start with boost clock, because it is the widest measured gap between them: NVIDIA ASUS Prime OC GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 2527 MHz against AMD XFX Swift Radeon RX 9070 XT 3060 MHz, 17% in favour of AMD XFX Swift Radeon RX 9070 XT. Measured rather than claimed: in Blender Cycles (GPU) the NVIDIA ASUS Prime OC GeForce RTX 5070 Ti returns 7,589 against 3,279 over 1414 runs, a 57% lead.
Which should you buy, NVIDIA ASUS Prime OC GeForce RTX 5070 Ti or AMD XFX Swift Radeon RX 9070 XT?
it is not the pick for 4K/high-refresh gamers if this card's tier sits below High-End. It is equally the pick for gamers targeting the resolution this upper mid-range tier is built for. It is the wrong buy for buyers who need the absolute best price-to-performance and should compare street prices first. The AMD XFX Swift Radeon RX 9070 XT suits mid-tower builds that can't fit oversized 3-slot AIB cards and 1440p and 4K raster gaming on a mainstream AMD platform, though it is not built for SFF builds needing a sub-300mm card and buyers chasing the highest factory-OC boost clock in the lineup. The same goes for buyers who want a quiet triple-fan cooler without paying Nitro+ pricing. Our rating of the NVIDIA ASUS Prime OC GeForce RTX 5070 Ti (7.5/10): A solid upper mid-range pick if its price and 16GB VRAM allocation match your target resolution. Our rating of the AMD XFX Swift Radeon RX 9070 XT (7.5/10): A well-cooled, sensibly priced RX 9070 XT that doesn't oversize the card to get there.
