ASUS TUF Gaming A16 vs Dell Alienware 16 Aurora: Comparison
ASUS TUF Gaming A16 vs Dell Alienware 16 Aurora: the refresh rate difference
The gap that matters here is refresh rate: ASUS TUF Gaming A16 165 Hz against Dell Alienware 16 Aurora 120 Hz, which puts ASUS TUF Gaming A16 27% ahead.
Which should you buy, ASUS TUF Gaming A16 or Dell Alienware 16 Aurora?
it is not the pick for anyone who wants a lighter, more portable 16-inch laptop and buyers chasing the lowest possible price for RTX 5060 performance. It is equally the pick for buyers who want the largest battery in a sub-$1,600 RTX 5060 gaming laptop. Avoid it for users who need Thunderbolt for an external GPU or high-speed dock. The Dell Alienware 16 Aurora suits 1080p/1440p esports and mainstream gaming at 120Hz and shoppers who want NVIDIA RTX 50-series graphics on a budget, though it is the wrong buy for anyone wanting to add RAM later, both slots ship full and buyers who need Thunderbolt for external GPU or high-bandwidth docks. It also earns its place with buyers wanting an entry point into the redesigned Alienware Aurora line. It is not the one for 4K or ray-traced AAA gaming, step up to the RTX 5070 configuration. Our rating of the ASUS TUF Gaming A16 (7.8/10): A solid, honestly specced entry point into the A16 lineup, held back only by sustained power figures no one has measured yet.
Where the two are identical
Everything else lines up. Region sold, laptop class, operating system, sustained power source and gpu brand read the same on both, so those are not worth weighing. They match on 14 further specifications as well.
