Who each one is for
The Huawei MateBook 14 2024 is the one to take for everyday productivity users and 3:2 display fans, though it is not the pick for Thunderbolt peripheral users. The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x 14 suits all-day battery life and copilot+ AI features, though it is the wrong buy for native x86 software needs. Our rating of the Huawei MateBook 14 2024 (7.8/10): the MateBook 14 has a Ryzen 7 7735H, 16GB of LPDDR5 and a 14.2-inch 2160 x 1440 touchscreen with a 3:2 shape and a 90 Hz refresh rate. At 1.44 kg with a 70 Wh battery, it suits everyday productivity users who like a taller screen for documents and the web. There is no Thunderbolt, so docks and fast external storage are limited. Memory is soldered at 16GB and the SSD slot is filled, so choose your configuration carefully.
