ASRock A520M-HDV vs ASUS Prime A620M-K: Comparison
What is the difference between ASRock A520M-HDV and ASUS Prime A620M-K?
The gap that matters here is max memory: ASRock A520M-HDV 64 GB against ASUS Prime A620M-K 96 GB, which puts ASUS Prime A620M-K 33% ahead. Newest cpu family supported is not the same on both, Ryzen 5000 on the ASRock A520M-HDV versus Ryzen 9000 on the ASUS Prime A620M-K. They differ on memory type too, 2x DDR4 DIMM, up to 64GB, dual-channel, DDR4-4733+ on the ASRock A520M-HDV versus 2x DDR5, dual-channel, up to 96GB, up to 7200+... on the ASUS Prime A620M-K. There is a split on oldest cpu family supported as well, Ryzen 3000 on the ASRock A520M-HDV versus Ryzen 7000 on the ASUS Prime A620M-K.
Which should you buy, ASRock A520M-HDV or ASUS Prime A620M-K?
The ASRock A520M-HDV suits the most budget-conscious AM4 builds using a Ryzen APU and HTPC or office builds that use integrated graphics, though it is the wrong buy for anyone who wants four memory DIMM slots and discrete GPU builds that don't need HDMI/DVI from the motherboard. Buy the ASUS Prime A620M-K for office or budget productivity builds using Ryzen APUs, though it is not built for anyone wanting factory Wi-Fi or faster-than-Gigabit networking. It is equally the pick for buyers who specifically want ASUS's brand and support at the lowest possible AM5 price. It is not the one for builders who want the extra features found on the TUF Gaming A620M-Plus WiFi.
Where the two are identical
The common ground is wider than the gap: memory slots, m.2 slots, m.2 slots onboard, form factor and platform are identical here. They match on 10 further specifications as well.
