ASRock A620M-HDV/M.2+ vs Gigabyte B860M AORUS ELITE WIFI6E: Comparison
ASRock A620M-HDV/M.2+ vs Gigabyte B860M AORUS ELITE WIFI6E: the memory slots difference
On memory slots the spread is 50%, ASRock A620M-HDV/M.2+ 2 against Gigabyte B860M AORUS ELITE WIFI6E 4, so Gigabyte B860M AORUS ELITE WIFI6E takes it. Gigabyte B860M AORUS ELITE WIFI6E also leads on max memory, 128 GB on the ASRock A620M-HDV/M.2+ versus 256 GB on the Gigabyte B860M AORUS ELITE WIFI6E. Add m.2 slots to that, 2 on the ASRock A620M-HDV/M.2+ versus 3 on the Gigabyte B860M AORUS ELITE WIFI6E, and the pattern holds. There is a split on platform as well, AMD on the ASRock A620M-HDV/M.2+ versus Intel on the Gigabyte B860M AORUS ELITE WIFI6E.
Who each one is for
it is the wrong buy for anyone wanting factory Wi-Fi or CPU overclocking. It is equally the pick for budget AM5 builders who want a second M.2 slot without a big price jump. Avoid it for buyers who genuinely only need one M.2 slot and want to save the small price difference. The Gigabyte B860M AORUS ELITE WIFI6E suits compact micro-ATX Intel builds that don't need Wi-Fi 7 and builders who want Thunderbolt in a smaller form factor, though it is not built for anyone who specifically wants Wi-Fi 7 and builds needing the full 14+1+2+1 VRM of the ATX sibling.
Where the two are identical
Where they agree, they agree completely, form factor, board width, m.2 pcie 4.0 slots, sata ports and rear usb 5gbps ports included, so the decision does not turn on any of those.
