Who each one is for
Buy the ASRock B650 PG Lightning for the most budget-conscious full-ATX AM5 builds and builders who don't need built-in WiFi, though it is not the pick for anyone who wants WiFi included without buying the separate variant and builds that want more than two M.2 slots. The ASUS Prime X870-P WiFi is the one to take for budget-focused builders who still want X870-level PCIe 5.0 features, though it is the wrong buy for overclockers who want TUF or ROG-level VRM certification and builders who need more than four M.2 slots. It is equally the pick for builds that want Wi-Fi 7 and USB4 at a Prime-series price.
Where the two are identical
Where they agree, they agree completely, socket, memory slots, max memory, max memory capacity and form factor included, so the decision does not turn on any of those. They match on 12 further specifications as well.
