AMD Ryzen 9 5900X vs Intel 11th Gen Intel Core i9 11900KF: Comparison
AMD Ryzen 9 5900X vs Intel 11th Gen Intel Core i9 11900KF: the l3 cache difference
Start with l3 cache, because it is the widest measured gap between them: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 64 MB against Intel 11th Gen Intel Core i9 11900KF 16 MB, 75% in favour of AMD Ryzen 9 5900X. L2 cache runs the same way, 6 MB on the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X versus 2 MB on the Intel 11th Gen Intel Core i9 11900KF, another win for AMD Ryzen 9 5900X. They differ on tdp too, 105 W on the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X versus 125 W on the Intel 11th Gen Intel Core i9 11900KF. They differ on socket too, AM4 on the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X versus FCLGA1200 on the Intel 11th Gen Intel Core i9 11900KF.
AMD Ryzen 9 5900X vs Intel 11th Gen Intel Core i9 11900KF: which one fits your build
Take the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X for buyers wanting a genuinely balanced high-end desktop chip strong at both gaming and heavy productivity work. It is the wrong buy for buyers who need integrated graphics, this chip requires a discrete GPU. Take the Intel 11th Gen Intel Core i9 11900KF for enthusiast gaming desktop builds with a discrete GPU already planned wanting Intel's flagship Rocket Lake performance at a lower price. It is not the one for buyers wanting a fallback integrated GPU, the standard i9-11900K includes UHD 750.
What AMD Ryzen 9 5900X and Intel 11th Gen Intel Core i9 11900KF have in common
The common ground is wider than the gap: efficiency cores, integrated graphics, socket status, form factor and market segment are identical here. They match on 4 further specifications as well.
