Who each one is for
it is not the pick for buyers needing x86 software compatibility without emulation. It also earns its place with buyers of current entry-level Mac or iPad Pro models wanting Apple's newest base-tier chip with hardware ray tracing and improved on-device AI performance. It is the wrong buy for buyers needing more than 12 cores for sustained heavy multi-threaded work, look for the M6 Pro/Max/Ultra tier once available. Buy the AMD FX-7600P with Radeon R7 Graphics for FX-Series platform upgrades or repairs and budget legacy builds, though it is the wrong buy for modern gaming or productivity workloads and new builds.
Where the two are identical
The common ground is wider than the gap: performance cores are identical here.
