Which should you buy, Ryzen Threadripper PRO 3995WX or Threadripper PRO 7995WX?
Take the Ryzen Threadripper PRO 3995WX for the most demanding professional workstation workloads needing genuine 64-core, 128-thread single-socket throughput. It is the wrong buy for anyone outside extreme professional workstation use, this is specialized, expensive hardware far beyond consumer or gaming needs. The Threadripper PRO 7995WX is the one to take for studios rendering at massive scale and engineering teams running heavy simulation, though it is the wrong buy for gamers and anyone on a limited cooling or power budget. Our rating of the Threadripper PRO 7995WX (9.4/10): the Threadripper PRO 7995WX is the fastest multi-threaded consumer-adjacent CPU AMD sells, but its price and cooling demands make sense only for teams whose software actually scales to 192 threads.
