AVerMedia Live Streamer CAM 513 vs Elgato Facecam: Comparison
What is the difference between AVerMedia Live Streamer CAM 513 and Elgato Facecam?
Resolution is the dividing line, AVerMedia Live Streamer CAM 513 4K30 against Elgato Facecam 1080p60.
Who each one is for
The AVerMedia Live Streamer CAM 513 is the one to take for streamers who need reliable HDR in backlit rooms and creators choosing between 4K static shots and 1080p60 motion, though it is not built for budget buyers who just need basic video calls and studio setups already invested in Elgato's software ecosystem. Take the Elgato Facecam for streamers who want a consistent, non-hunting image without autofocus pulsing during broadcasts. This webcam's fixed focus and Sony sensor directly serve that priority. It is not the one for buyers who move around frequently and need active autofocus to stay in focus. A model with active autofocus covered elsewhere on this site better serves that need. Our rating of the AVerMedia Live Streamer CAM 513 (7/10): A genuinely capable 4K/HDR streaming webcam let down only by brand recognition compared to Logitech and Elgato. Our rating of the Elgato Facecam (7/10): A streaming webcam whose genuine Sony sensor and fixed-focus design deliver a more consistent, distraction-free image than many pricier competitors with hunting autofocus.
