Dell UltraSharp Webcam WB7022 vs Elgato Facecam MK.2: Comparison
Dell UltraSharp Webcam WB7022 vs Elgato Facecam MK.2: the resolution difference
The first real difference is resolution: Dell UltraSharp Webcam WB7022 4K UHD @ 24/30fps against Elgato Facecam MK.2 1080p. They differ on primary use case too, Business Conferencing, Windows Hello on the Dell UltraSharp Webcam WB7022 versus Streaming on the Elgato Facecam MK.2. There is a split on sensor model as well, Sony STARVIS CMOS on the Dell UltraSharp Webcam WB7022 versus Sony on the Elgato Facecam MK.2.
Who each one is for
Buy the Dell UltraSharp Webcam WB7022 for business conferencing with existing mic/headset, though it is not built for all-in-one plug-and-play with audio. The Elgato Facecam MK.2 is the one to take for serious streamers wanting uncompressed 60fps output and deep OBS/Streamlabs integration and buyers who already have a separate dedicated microphone. It is the wrong buy for buyers wanting a built-in microphone or movement-tracking AI features, the Insta360 Link 2 better serves that need. Our rating of the Elgato Facecam MK.2 (9/10): the best webcam for streaming, uncompressed 60fps from a Sony sensor with deep OBS/Streamlabs integration, assuming you already own a dedicated microphone.
Where the two are identical
Where they agree, they agree completely, built-in microphone included, so the decision does not turn on any of those.
