Elgato Facecam vs Yealink UVC30: Comparison
What is the difference between Elgato Facecam and Yealink UVC30?
The first real difference is resolution: Elgato Facecam 1080p60 against Yealink UVC30 1080p30. Primary use case is not the same on both, Streaming, Content Creation on the Elgato Facecam versus Huddle Room Video Conferencing on the Yealink UVC30.
Which should you buy, Elgato Facecam or Yealink UVC30?
Take the Elgato Facecam for streamers who want a consistent, non-hunting image without autofocus pulsing during broadcasts. This webcam's fixed focus and Sony sensor directly serve that priority. It is not the one for buyers who move around frequently and need active autofocus to stay in focus. A model with active autofocus covered elsewhere on this site better serves that need. The Yealink UVC30 is the one to take for small-to-medium huddle rooms needing 120° coverage and businesses already using or planning a Yealink conferencing setup, though it is not the pick for users wanting a built-in microphone in the camera itself and large conference rooms needing true optical zoom reach. Our rating of the Elgato Facecam (7/10): A streaming webcam whose genuine Sony sensor and fixed-focus design deliver a more consistent, distraction-free image than many pricier competitors with hunting autofocus. Our rating of the Yealink UVC30 (7/10): A cost-effective wide-angle room camera best bought as part of a Yealink conferencing bundle rather than standalone.
