Thermal paste is pre-applied to the cold plate, which saves a step but means you get one clean mount before you need your own tube.

The fans are daisy-chained into a single header, so the whole unit runs off one PWM connector and one ARGB connector. That is the tidiest cabling of any AIO we have dealt with.

Arctic builds this to work rather than to be looked at. The pump block is plain, the ARGB is on the fans and a ring on the block, and there is no LCD.

The tubing is thick rubber, not sleeved braid, and it is stiffer than most. Plan your routing.

The 40mm VRM fan sits on the pump housing and blows across the socket area. It is not a gimmick, and the numbers below back that up.

Tom's Hardware called it the strongest AIO tested, bar none.

That holds up, but read the detail. On Intel, roughly 13C of the winning margin comes from the bundled contact frame, which fixes LGA1700 socket bending. Fit that frame to a competing cooler and the gap narrows sharply.

On AMD there is no contact frame, and the win comes from the 38mm radiator and the fans. It is still the top result, just by a smaller margin than the Intel charts suggest.

63mm of stack height.

Most mid-towers publish a top radiator clearance of 55mm to 60mm. This does not fit. Front mounting usually works but often fouls the top of a tall GPU or the front of the motherboard tray.

Check two numbers before ordering: top clearance including the motherboard VRM heatsink, and front radiator depth. Fractal, Lian Li O11 and Corsair 5000D-class cases are generally fine. Slimmer cases are not.

Not a thicker radiator. The standard Liquid Freezer III 360 uses the same 38mm core.

Pro gets you the higher-static-pressure fan set and a revised pump. In practice that is a few degrees and a lower noise floor at matched RPM.

At a $20 gap we would take the Pro. If the gap in front of you is $40 or more, the standard model is the better buy and nobody will notice the difference in a closed case.

The VRM fan is the feature nobody expects to care about. On our reading of the test data it drops MOS0 temperature by about 7C, which matters on boards with weak VRM cooling and a 250W CPU.

Pump noise is low but present at 100 percent. Cap it at 70 percent in BIOS and it disappears with no measurable thermal cost.

The ARGB runs off standard 3-pin 5V, so any motherboard software drives it. Arctic ships no software of its own, which we count as a plus.

Six years, which is the longest in the category. Most competitors offer three to five.

Arctic uses a low-permeability tubing and a sealed loop with no fill port, so there is nothing to top up and nothing to open.

The usual AIO failure mode is the pump, and Arctic's RMA process is straightforward and does not require the original packaging. Keep your invoice.

Winner on performance per dollar: this cooler, clearly.

Against the NZXT Kraken Elite 360 at around $280, the Arctic cools better and costs less than half. The Kraken wins only if you want the LCD screen.

Against the Corsair iCUE Link Titan 360 RX at about $210, same story with a software ecosystem attached.

Against the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE at $32, the Arctic wins above 250W. Below 200W the air cooler is close enough that the $70 is hard to justify.

Listed anywhere from $99.98 to $144.99 right now, and the spread is real rather than a stale-data artifact. Amazon, Newegg and Arctic's own store all disagree.

Do not pay more than $120. It is regularly at or below $110 and stock is not tight.

The non-ARGB Liquid Freezer III Pro 360 usually sits about $10 lower and is thermally identical.

Will it fit my case? Only if the case lists at least 63mm of radiator plus fan clearance. Check the front mount too.

Does it support LGA1851? Yes, the bracket and contact frame are in the box.

Does it fit AM5 without extra parts? Yes. AMD mounting uses the stock backplate.

Do I need the contact frame? On LGA1700 and LGA1851, yes. It is worth roughly 13C and it is free with this cooler.

Is the VRM fan worth anything? About 7C on MOS0. Useful on budget boards, irrelevant on a high-end X870E.

Can it hold a 14900K at 300W? Yes, which is more than most 360mm AIOs manage.

Pro or standard? Pro if the gap is $20 or less. Same radiator either way.

ARGB or plain? Purely cosmetic. The plain version costs about $10 less and cools the same.

360 or 420? The 420 needs a case almost nobody owns. Stick with 360.
