ASUS ROG Harpe Ace Aim Lab Edition Review

The ASUS ROG Harpe Ace Aim Lab Edition is a 54g tri-mode gaming mouse with a 36,000 DPI ROG AimPoint optical sensor, an ambidextrous shape, up to 88 hours of battery life, and a $149.99 MSRP.

Co-developed with Aim Lab, the Harpe Ace brings esports-tuned sensor performance and a genuinely light 54g body into our catalog, with tri-mode connectivity most competitors in this weight class don't offer.

Sensor and Polling

AimPoint is ASUS's flagship sensor, 36,000 DPI is more than enough headroom, and the Aim Lab Settings Optimizer software tunes DPI and polling to your actual aim data rather than generic presets, a genuinely different approach to setup than most competitors offer.

Weight and Shape

54g puts this solidly in the same weight class as Pulsar's X2 and well under Logitech's G502 X Plus, with an ambidextrous shape that splits the difference between the DeathAdder's ergonomic curve and a fully symmetrical body.

Switches and Battery

Tri-mode connectivity covers wired, low-latency 2.4GHz RF, and Bluetooth use, while the battery lasts up to 88 hours.

Comparison to Alternatives

Against Pulsar's X2, also in our catalog, the two are close in weight, the Harpe Ace counters with tri-mode connectivity and Aim Lab's tuning software, at nearly double the price. Against Finalmouse's UltralightX, also in our catalog, the UltralightX is lighter still at 31g but with far worse availability, the Harpe Ace is the more practically obtainable ultralight option.
