The ROG Strix Z890-F Gaming WiFi trims some of the Strix Z890-E's extras for a more balanced mid-to-high-end Z890 board, still offering five M.2 slots and ROG SupremeFX audio.

ASUS does not publish an exact VRM phase count for this board, but it is rated for sustained Core Ultra 9 operation at stock and moderate overclocked settings. Four DDR5 DIMM slots support up to 256GB total capacity, with overclocked speeds rated up to 9066+ MT/s. Expansion includes a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot from the CPU and a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot at x4 from the chipset. Storage covers five M.2 slots across CPU and chipset lanes, supporting 2242 through 22110 form factors. An Intel 2.5Gb Ethernet controller handles wired networking, paired with 2x2 Wi-Fi 7 across 2.4/5/6GHz bands rated up to 5.8Gbps. Audio uses ASUS's ROG SupremeFX ALC4080 codec. Against the ASUS ROG Strix Z890-E Gaming WiFi in this batch, the Z890-F trims two M.2 slots (five versus seven) and uses a slower 2.5Gb LAN controller instead of 5Gb, making it the more affordable Strix option for builders who don't need maximum storage expansion.
