Corsair Vengeance CMK32GX5M2B5600C36 Review

The Corsair Vengeance CMK32GX5M2B5600C36 is a 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5-5600 CL36 desktop kit at 1.25V with an Intel XMP 3.0 profile, for a true latency of 12.9ns. This review covers Intel and AM5 fit, latency against other DDR5 kits, and the alternatives we would consider.

This is a plain, low-voltage 32GB kit built for Intel boards. Corsair lists Intel 600, 700 and 800 series compatibility and an XMP profile only. At 5600MT/s CL36 it works out to 12.9ns, and 79% of the desktop DDR5 kits we list are as tight or tighter, so it is not a latency pick. On an Intel build it does the job at a modest 1.25V. On AM5 we would spend a little more on a 6000MT/s kit with EXPO, since that is the speed Ryzen 7000 and 9000 run best at.

Speed and Latency

CL36 at 5600MT/s works out to 12.9ns of true latency (36 x 2000 / 5600).

At the time of writing, 79% of the desktop DDR5 kits we list are as tight or tighter, so this is on the looser side of its class. Our listing shows full timings of 36-36-36-76; Corsair's spec page confirms only CL36 at 1.25V.

The low voltage is the upside: 1.25V against the 1.35V Corsair specifies for its 6000MT/s CL36 Vengeance kit.

Platform Fit

This is for DDR5 desktops: AMD AM5 on 600 or 800 series chipsets, and Intel 600, 700 or 800 series boards with DDR5 slots. It physically will not go into a DDR4 board.

5600MT/s runs on any DDR5 board, but AM5 builds get lower latency from a 6000MT/s kit. It has an Intel XMP 3.0 profile only. Most AM5 boards can still load XMP, but kits with EXPO are validated for AMD.

Out of the box it runs at the JEDEC default of 4800MT/s CL40 and 1.1V. Enable the XMP profile in the BIOS to reach 5600MT/s.

Capacity and Configuration

Two 16GB modules fill two slots in dual channel, which is the configuration boards run fastest with.

Four DDR5 sticks usually run well below their rated speed, so buy the total capacity you need as one two-stick kit rather than adding a second kit later.

32GB is the comfortable amount for gaming and creative work in 2026.

Build and Cooling

No RGB lighting, black aluminum heat spreader. Corsair calls it a compact form factor but does not list the module height on its spec page, so check RAM clearance under a large tower cooler.

Corsair says the chips are hand-sorted and screened but does not say whose they are, so manual tuning headroom is unknown.

Warranty: limited lifetime.

Speed Score

It scores 6.5 out of 10 on our DDR5 Speed Score, which weighs transfer rate and true latency against every other DDR5 kit we list. Do not compare it with DDR4 scores.

Kingston's FURY Beast KF556C36BBEK2-32, at the same 5600 CL36, scores the same 6.5.

Compatibility: Intel

Corsair lists Intel 600, 700 and 800 series motherboards and says the kit is optimized for Intel. Turn on XMP and it targets 5600MT/s on boards that allow memory overclocking.

Corsair notes that maximum speed depends on the board and CPU. Custom XMP 3.0 profiles can be edited in Corsair's iCUE software.

Compatibility: AMD

Corsair lists no AMD platforms and no EXPO profile. Most AM5 boards can still load XMP, but at 5600MT/s you also give up the 6000MT/s speed where Ryzen 7000 and 9000 run the controller 1:1.

For AM5 we would pick Kingston's FURY Beast KF556C36BBEK2-32 at the same speed with EXPO, or step up to a 6000MT/s kit.

Versus the competition

Kingston FURY Beast KF556C36BBEK2-32: same 5600 CL36, 12.9ns and 1.25V, but with XMP 3.0 and EXPO and a published height. Winner for AM5 or mixed use.

Kingston FURY Beast KF552C40BBK2-32: 5200 CL40, 15.4ns, Speed Score 5.5. Winner: this Corsair kit.

Corsair CMK32GX5M2B6000C30: 6000 CL30, 10ns, Speed Score 8.3. Winner if the budget stretches.

Expert rating8 / 10

Best for

  • Intel 600, 700 and 800 series builds that want plain 32GB DDR5
  • Clean builds without RGB

Not for

  • Latency-focused builds: 79% of desktop DDR5 kits are as tight or tighter
  • AM5 builds: no EXPO profile and below the 6000MT/s sweet spot
  • Manual timing tuning: memory chips are not disclosed
  • Adding a second kit later for four sticks

FAQs

Is the Corsair CMK32GX5M2B5600C36 compatible with my motherboard?

It fits DDR5 desktop boards. Corsair lists Intel 600, 700 and 800 series. AMD AM5 boards can usually load its XMP profile, but Corsair does not list AMD support. It does not fit DDR4 boards.

Is 5600MT/s CL36 a good combination?

It is average to loose. It works out to 12.9ns true latency, and 79% of the desktop DDR5 kits we list are as tight or tighter. Our listing shows full timings of 36-36-36-76.

Why does it run at 4800MT/s instead of 5600MT/s?

4800MT/s CL40 at 1.1V is the JEDEC default. Enable the XMP 3.0 profile in the BIOS to run at 5600MT/s CL36 and 1.25V.

Is 5600MT/s good for AMD Ryzen 7000 and 9000?

It works on AM5. A 6000MT/s kit gives slightly lower latency on Ryzen 7000 and 9000, and this kit has no EXPO profile.

Can I add a second kit later for four sticks?

It is not recommended. Four DDR5 sticks usually run well below their rated speed. Buy the total capacity you need as one two-stick kit.
