Dell Latitude 5420 (regulatory model P137G) 14-inch business laptop with an 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1145G7, 16GB DDR4-3200 on two SO-DIMM slots, an M.2 NVMe SSD, a 14-inch FHD WVA non-touch display and a 42Wh 3-cell battery.
The Latitude 5420 is Dell's 2021 mainstream 14-inch business laptop and a common corporate fleet machine. It is easy to upgrade: two SO-DIMM slots up to 64GB and M.2 NVMe storage. Dell offered a 3-cell 42Wh and a 4-cell 63Wh battery, and HD, FHD non-touch and FHD touch screens.
Latitude 5420 screen replacement
The FHD non-touch Latitude 5420 shares its 14-inch panel family with the Latitude 5400, 5410, 7400, 7410 and 7420. Parts-People lists AUO B140HAN06.C, B140HAN07.1 and B140HAN04.6, Sharp LQ140M1JW33 and LG LP140WF9-SPH2 as OEM panels for it. Touch models use 40-pin on-cell touch panels instead.
Latitude 5420 battery replacement
Dell lists a 3-cell 42Wh 11.4V battery and a 4-cell 63Wh 15.2V battery, sold as Dell WY9DX and Dell RJ40G. Both are also used in the Latitude 5520 and Precision 3560.
