If you're looking up the original Elgato Game Capture HD60 (not the HD60 S, S+, or X) because you're buying used or found old retailer stock, this is the 2015-era external box that started the HD60 line.

It's a plain 1080p60 external USB 3.0 box with no Instant Gameview, meaning there's a noticeable frame or two of passthrough lag on your monitor while it's connected, unlike every HD60 model that came after it. It still works fine for basic 1080p60 recording, but there's no reason to buy this over a current HD60 X unless the price gap is huge.

Comparison to Alternatives

The original HD60 predates Elgato's zero-lag "Instant Gameview" passthrough, which the Elgato HD60 S+ and HD60 X both have, so you'll see visible delay on your monitor while capturing through this unit. It also has no HDR passthrough at all, where the HD60 X passes through 4K60 HDR even though it only records at 1080p60. Against the Razer Ripsaw HD, the original HD60 is roughly equivalent in resolution and connection type, but the Ripsaw HD's passthrough lag is lower thanks to a newer chipset.
