Intel Core 7 350 Review

Intel Core 7 350 laptop processor: 6 cores (2P + 4 LP-E), 6 threads, up to 4.8 GHz, 6 MB cache, Intel Graphics with 2 Xe-cores up to 2.6 GHz, 17 TOPS NPU, 15 W base power, 35 W max turbo, Intel 18A, single-channel DDR5-6400 or LPDDR5X-7467, Core Series 3 (Wildcat Lake).

The Intel Core 7 350 is a 6-core, 6-thread laptop processor from Intel's Core Series 3 family (codename Wildcat Lake), launched in 2026. It boosts up to 4.8 GHz, has 6 MB of cache, Intel Graphics with 2 Xe-cores and a 17 TOPS NPU in a 15 W base power envelope. It shares the top clocks in the family with the business-focused Core 7 360 and targets mainstream budget laptops.

What the Core 7 350 is

The Core 7 350 is a Wildcat Lake laptop chip built on the Intel 18A process and soldered to the motherboard. It uses the same 6-core layout as the Core 5 models, 2 performance cores and 4 low-power efficient cores with 6 threads, but runs them faster: up to 4.8 GHz on the performance cores and 3.6 GHz on the low-power cores. Its graphics clock and NPU rating are also the highest in the family. It supports up to 64 GB of DDR5-6400 or LPDDR5X-7467 memory on one channel, Thunderbolt 4 and PCIe 4.0.

Performance in everyday use

The higher boost clock helps single-threaded tasks such as web pages, office apps and light photo edits feel snappy, so it and the Core 7 360 are the most responsive chips in the Wildcat Lake range. It still has only 6 threads and a 35 W turbo limit, so video exports, big code builds and heavy multitasking run slower than on chips with 10 or more cores. Treat it as a quick everyday chip rather than a workhorse.

Graphics and AI

The integrated Intel Graphics has 2 Xe-cores running at up to 2.6 GHz, with AV1 encode and decode and support for up to 3 displays at up to 4K 60 Hz. It handles streaming and office work easily but only very light or older games. The NPU is rated at 17 TOPS and runs Windows Studio Effects, but Copilot+ PC features need a 40 TOPS NPU.

Comparison to Alternatives

The Core 7 150U it follows has 10 cores and 12 threads with a higher turbo power limit, so it keeps more multi-core headroom, while the 350 adds an NPU and a newer process. AMD's Ryzen 7 250 has 8 cores, 16 threads and Radeon 780M graphics and is the stronger all-rounder, and the Ryzen 5 230 also has more threads. The Core Ultra 5 225U brings 12 cores and 4 Xe-cores. The comparison pages below show each spec side by side.

Should you buy a laptop with it?

Yes, if you want a budget or midrange laptop for office work, school and streaming and want the snappiest Wildcat Lake chip. Pick a model with at least 16 GB of memory, since the single memory channel makes capacity more important. If the price is close to a Ryzen 7 250 or Core Ultra 5 laptop, those give you more cores and better graphics for heavier work.

FAQs

Is the Intel Core 7 350 good for a laptop?

Yes, for everyday work. Its 4.8 GHz performance cores make browsing, office apps and video calls feel quick. With 6 threads it is not a good fit for heavy rendering, big code builds or modern games.

Is the Core 7 350 a desktop or laptop processor?

It is a laptop processor. It is soldered to the laptop motherboard and is not sold as a boxed CPU, so you cannot upgrade it later.

What is the difference between the Core 7 350 and the Core 7 150U?

The 150U has 10 cores and 12 threads on the older Intel 7 process and a higher turbo power limit. The 350 has 6 cores and 6 threads on Intel 18A, adds a 17 TOPS NPU and caps turbo power at 35 W. The 150U keeps more multi-core headroom.

Does the Core 7 350 support Copilot+ PC features?

No. Its NPU is rated at 17 TOPS, and Copilot+ features need 40 TOPS or more. It supports Windows Studio Effects.

Is the Core 7 350 much faster than the Core 5 320?

It is a modest step up. Both have the same 6-core layout, but the 350 boosts to 4.8 GHz versus 4.6 GHz and has a slightly faster graphics clock and NPU. Pay the extra only if the price gap is small.
