Intel Core Ultra 5 235H Review
Intel Core Ultra 5 235H laptop processor: 14 cores (4P + 8E + 2 LP-E), 14 threads, up to 5.0 GHz, 18 MB cache, Intel Arc 140T GPU with 8 Xe-cores, 13 TOPS NPU, 28 W base power, 115 W max turbo power, Intel vPro Enterprise, Core Ultra 200H series.
The Intel Core Ultra 5 235H is a 14-core, 14-thread laptop processor from Intel's Core Ultra 200H series (Arrow Lake), launched in early 2025. It boosts up to 5.0 GHz, has 18 MB of cache, Intel Arc 140T graphics with 8 Xe-cores and a 13 TOPS NPU in a 28 W base power envelope. With Intel vPro Enterprise support, it mostly shows up in business and mobile workstation laptops.
What the Core Ultra 5 235H is
The Core Ultra 5 235H is the higher Core Ultra 5 model in Intel's 200H family, the Arrow Lake based successor to the Meteor Lake H chips. It has 14 cores split into 4 performance cores, 8 efficient cores and 2 low-power efficient cores, with 14 threads in total. Performance cores run from 2.4 GHz up to 5.0 GHz and share 18 MB of Intel Smart Cache. It supports LPDDR5X-8400 or DDR5-6400 memory in two channels, up to 128 GB, plus Thunderbolt 4 and up to 28 PCIe lanes including PCIe 5.0. Intel lists it with vPro Enterprise, the remote management and security platform IT departments use.
Performance in everyday use
Compared with the Core Ultra 5 225H it uses the same core layout but runs higher base and boost clocks on both core types, so it responds a little faster and holds up better under longer loads. Office work, browsing, coding, photo editing and heavy multitasking all run comfortably. The 28 W base power and 115 W maximum turbo power give laptop makers a wide range, so sustained speed depends a lot on the cooling in the specific laptop.

Graphics and AI
Intel lists the Arc 140T GPU for the 235H, with 8 Xe-cores running at up to 2.25 GHz. That is the same GPU name used on the Core Ultra 7 200H chips, and it handles 4K video, multiple external displays, creative apps and many games at low to medium settings with dual-channel memory. The NPU is rated at 13 TOPS, with 94 TOPS listed for the whole chip. Windows Studio Effects and local AI tools run fine, but the NPU is below the 40 TOPS Copilot+ PC threshold.
Comparison to Alternatives
Against the Core Ultra 5 135H it replaces, the 235H keeps 14 cores, drops Hyper-Threading and moves to newer cores with higher clocks, and both are vPro business parts. AMD's Ryzen AI 5 340 brings a Copilot+ class NPU, and the Ryzen 7 260 offers 8 cores and 16 threads in similar price laptops. The Core Ultra 5 225H is the lower model in the same family, while the Core Ultra 7 255H adds two more performance cores and more cache. The comparison pages below show each spec side by side.
Should you buy a laptop with it?
Yes, if you want a business laptop with vPro management, strong everyday performance and capable built-in graphics. Aim for at least 16 GB of dual-channel memory. If your company does not use vPro, a Core Ultra 5 225H laptop can offer similar day to day speed for less money, and if Copilot+ features matter, look at Ryzen AI 300 or Core Ultra 200V models instead.
