Intel Core Ultra 7 265H Review
Intel Core Ultra 7 265H laptop processor: 16 cores (6P + 8E + 2 LP-E), 16 threads, up to 5.3 GHz, 24 MB cache, Intel Arc 140T GPU with 8 Xe-cores, 13 TOPS NPU, 28 W base power, 115 W max turbo power, Intel vPro Enterprise, Core Ultra 200H series.
The Intel Core Ultra 7 265H is a 16-core, 16-thread laptop processor from Intel's Core Ultra 200H series (Arrow Lake), launched in early 2025. It boosts up to 5.3 GHz, has 24 MB of cache, Intel Arc 140T graphics with 8 Xe-cores and a 13 TOPS NPU in a 28 W base power envelope. With Intel vPro Enterprise support, it is aimed at premium business laptops and mobile workstations.
What the Core Ultra 7 265H is
The Core Ultra 7 265H is the higher Core Ultra 7 model in Intel's 200H family and the Arrow Lake based successor to the Core Ultra 7 165H. It has 16 cores split into 6 performance cores, 8 efficient cores and 2 low-power efficient cores, with 16 threads in total. Performance cores run from 2.2 GHz up to 5.3 GHz and share 24 MB of Intel Smart Cache. It supports LPDDR5X-8400 or DDR5-6400 memory in two channels, up to 128 GB, plus Thunderbolt 4 and up to 28 PCIe lanes including PCIe 5.0. Intel lists it with vPro Enterprise for business management and security.
Performance in everyday use
The 265H runs higher clocks than the Core Ultra 7 255H on both core types, so it is a touch quicker in short bursts and single-threaded tasks. Office apps, large spreadsheets, code compiles, video editing and engineering software all run well, which is why it often appears in mobile workstations with professional GPUs. As with every 200H chip, the 28 W base and 115 W maximum turbo power mean real speed depends heavily on each laptop's cooling.
Measured results
Geekbench scores
| Geekbench 6, Multi-Core Median of 2 independently published results. | 15,341 14,936 to 15,746 |
| Geekbench 6, Single-Core Median of 2 independently published results. | 2,897 2,886 to 2,907 |
Graphics and AI
The integrated Intel Arc 140T GPU has 8 Xe-cores running at up to 2.3 GHz, slightly higher than on the 255H. It drives 4K video, multiple displays and creative apps well, and handles many games at low to medium settings with fast dual-channel memory. The NPU is rated at 13 TOPS, with 97 TOPS listed for the whole chip. Windows Studio Effects and local AI tools work, but the NPU is below the 40 TOPS needed for Copilot+ PC features.
Comparison to Alternatives
Against the Core Ultra 7 165H it replaces, the 265H keeps 16 cores, drops Hyper-Threading and moves to newer cores with a higher boost clock, and both are vPro business parts. AMD's Ryzen AI 9 365 is a direct rival with 10 cores, 20 threads and a Copilot+ class NPU, and the Ryzen AI 7 350 competes in similar laptops. The Core Ultra 7 255H offers almost the same experience for home buyers, and the Core Ultra 9 285H sits above it. The comparison pages below show each spec side by side.
Should you buy a laptop with it?
Yes, if you need a vPro business laptop or a mobile workstation with strong performance and good integrated graphics. For home use, a Core Ultra 7 255H laptop gives very similar speed and often costs less. If Copilot+ features or the best battery life matter most, look at Ryzen AI 300 or Core Ultra 200V laptops instead.
Our verdict
Reviewed by Burooj Alam. Rated by us, not by users.
Best for
- Premium business laptops managed with Intel vPro
- Mobile workstations for engineering, coding and video editing
- Creative work on strong integrated Arc graphics
Not for
- Copilot+ PC AI features, which need a 40+ TOPS NPU
- Home buyers who do not need vPro, where the 255H costs less
- Demanding games on integrated graphics alone
