Intel Core Ultra 9 185H Review
The Intel Core Ultra 9 185H is Intel's Meteor Lake mobile flagship, launched December 2023, a 16-core hybrid processor (6 SMT-enabled Performance cores, 8 Efficient cores, and 2 Low Power Efficient cores) for 22 total threads, with P-cores reaching 5.1 GHz.
This chip's genuinely new tile-based design was Intel's first mobile processor with a dedicated NPU for on-device AI acceleration, alongside a considerably stronger 8-core Arc integrated GPU than previous-generation Intel mobile graphics.
Intel Arc Graphics (8 Xe Cores)
A genuinely capable 8-core Arc-based integrated GPU boosting to around 2.35 GHz, a real step up in integrated graphics capability over Intel's previous mobile generations, appropriate for light gaming without a discrete GPU.
How Is the Core Ultra 9 185H in Terms of Performance
The 16-core hybrid layout with SMT-enabled P-cores gives this chip strong everyday and content-creation performance, while the genuinely new NPU brings on-device AI acceleration that Intel's previous mobile chips lacked entirely.
