Kensington W2050 4K Pro Review

Kensington W2050 4K Pro business webcam with 4K30 or 1080p60 autofocus capture, dual microphones, and a sliding privacy shutter.

Kensington is better known for laptop docks and locks than cameras, and the W2050 leans into that IT-accessory identity: it's built to disappear into a corporate hardware order alongside docking stations, with the same emphasis on reliability over flashy features.

Overview

The W2050 offers switchable 4K30 or 1080p60 capture with autofocus, positioned as an accessory-brand alternative for offices already buying Kensington docks and mounts.

Comparison to Alternatives

Against the Dell UltraSharp Webcam WB7022, both share a 4K30/1080p60 dual-mode design and similar FOV, making them close competitors, though the WB7022's AI auto-framing goes further than the W2050's fixed autofocus. Compared with the Logitech C925e, the W2050 adds 4K capture the C925e lacks, at a higher price.
