Lenovo Legion 5 Gen 10 15AHP10

Measurements come from NotebookCheck's review unit with the Ryzen 7 260, RTX 5060 Laptop, 32GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD and the optional 15.1-inch 165Hz OLED screen.

The AMD Ryzen 7 260 has 8 cores and 16 threads, boosting to 5.1 GHz. That is enough for 4K editing, code builds and heavy multitasking. Its NPU is rated at 16 TOPS for on-device AI features.

NotebookCheck measured about 80W of sustained CPU power in this chassis. The chassis limit, not the chip rating, is what decides long render times. Across the 4 systems NotebookCheck has tested with the AMD Ryzen 7 260, it averages 927 points in Cinebench 2024 multi-core (range 786 to 1,000) and 104.8 single-core. Where this laptop lands in that range depends on how much power it lets the chip draw.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU has 8GB of VRAM and draws up to 115W here. The same GPU name covers a wide power range across laptops, so this wattage matters more than the model number.

Lenovo uses plain Optimus switching without Advanced Optimus, although the BIOS lets you turn off either the integrated or the Nvidia GPU completely.

Gaming (average across systems). These are NotebookCheck's average frame rates for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop across every system it has tested with this GPU, not this laptop alone. Power limits differ between laptops, so this one can land above or below the average.

Memory: upgradeable. 2 SO-DIMM slots, both filled. It takes DDR5-5600, up to 64GB in total.

Storage: room for a second drive. 2 M.2 slots, 1 free (M.2 2242), M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0.

Maintenance is easy: both RAM slots are accessible, there is a second empty SSD slot, the Wi-Fi card and screwed-in battery can be swapped, and Lenovo publishes a maintenance manual.

The 15.1-inch OLED panel runs at 2560x1600 (200 pixels per inch) and 165Hz. It is rated at 500 nits. NotebookCheck measured 495 nits with the near-infinite contrast OLED is known for. Color coverage is 100% sRGB and 100% P3, good enough for photo and video work. Response time is 0.4 ms, so motion stays sharp. The panel flickers at 1152 Hz (PWM) at lower brightness, which matters if you are sensitive to it.

The OLED hits over 1,000 nits on small HDR highlights, ships with accurate P3 and sRGB profiles loaded through Lenovo's X-Rite Color Assistant, and has no ambient light sensor.

NotebookCheck measured 50.1 dB(A) under load and 25.5 dB(A) at idle. Under full load it is loud enough to need headphones. The hottest surface reached 51.7 °C, warm enough to notice on your lap.

Full graphics power is only available in Performance mode, where the fans are clearly audible while gaming, while Auto and Battery saver modes run quieter and only Auto is available on battery. The underside gets hot at the rear during games, so it is not a lap device under load, but the keyboard and palm rests stay much cooler.

The battery is 80Wh, smaller than 52% of the gaming laptops we list. NotebookCheck got 9 hours 39 minutes of Wi-Fi browsing and 11 hours 27 minutes of video playback, but only 1 hour 12 minutes under full load. A full charge takes about 1 hour 35 minutes. Fast charging: Rapid charging supported (80% in 52 minutes measured by NotebookCheck).

Materials: Aluminum lid, PC-ABS plastic base. At 1.94 kg it is lighter than 96% of the gaming laptops we list. It measures 344.9x255.35x19.95-21.54 mm. The hinges are well adjusted and hold the lid securely in place.

The all-black chassis skips lighting effects and pairs an aluminum lid with a plastic base, and its large camera bump and fingerprint-prone surfaces are the main visual drawbacks. The OLED version is lighter and thinner than the IPS version, which adds almost 200 grams and 2.5 mm.

The black keyboard includes a number pad and large arrow keys, and its 1.6 mm key travel and precise feedback make typing very comfortable. Backlight: 24-zone RGB.

The 12 x 7.8 cm clickpad glides well but sits off-center to the left and has somewhat loud mechanical clicks.

There is no Thunderbolt, but USB4 40Gbps instead ports cover most of the same docks and fast drives. It charges over USB-C.

The 5 MP webcam captures sharp images with so-so color accuracy, and the stereo speakers get loud but sound thin, so a headset is the better choice for games.
