Expert rating8.4 / 10

The Legion 5i Pro 16 pairs a Core i7-14700HX with a GeForce RTX 40 series GPU with 8GB of VRAM and 16GB of DDR5. The 16-inch 2560 x 1600 IPS panel runs at 165 Hz, which suits 1440p gaming, and a free M.2 slot gives storage headroom.

Both RAM slots are filled, so adding memory means replacing modules, though it supports up to 32GB. It has USB4 rather than Thunderbolt, which matters if you rely on Thunderbolt peripherals.

Best for

  • Mainstream 1440p gaming with upgrade headroom

Not for

  • Thunderbolt peripheral users
