Lenovo Legion Pro 7i Gen 10

Measurements come from NotebookCheck's review unit with the Core Ultra 9 275HX, 175 W RTX 5080, 32GB of DDR5-6400 and a 1TB SSD.

The Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX has 24 cores (8 performance and 16 efficiency), boosting to 5.4 GHz. That is desktop-class multi-core power: 4K and 8K editing, big code builds and 3D rendering all run well. Its NPU is rated at 13 TOPS for on-device AI features.

NotebookCheck measured about 156W of sustained CPU power in this chassis. The chassis limit, not the chip rating, is what decides long render times. Across the 27 systems NotebookCheck has tested with the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX, it averages 2,007 points in Cinebench 2024 multi-core (range 1,547 to 2,288) and 133.9 single-core. Where this laptop lands in that range depends on how much power it lets the chip draw. Under a Prime95 load the CPU settled around 156 W and 95 C, and during Cyberpunk 2077 on Performance mode the CPU ran near 90 C, so core temperatures stay high despite the vapor chamber.

PugetBench (creative apps). These are Puget Systems' public results for the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX in its standard test, pooled across every system it was tested in, so this laptop's power limits can move them up or down. Higher is better.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU has 16GB of VRAM and draws up to 175W here. The same GPU name covers a wide power range across laptops, so this wattage matters more than the model number. It can switch the display straight to the dedicated GPU (Advanced Optimus), which avoids the small performance loss of routing frames through the integrated graphics.

Gaming (average across systems). These are NotebookCheck's average frame rates for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop across every system it has tested with this GPU, not this laptop alone. Power limits differ between laptops, so this one can land above or below the average.

Memory: upgradeable. 2 SO-DIMM slots, both filled. It takes DDR5-6400, up to 64GB in total.

Storage: room for a second drive. 2 M.2 slots, 1 free (M.2 2280), PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe.

Upgrading RAM or SSDs takes extra steps because the slots sit under an aluminum plate and a third fan whose ribbon cable must be handled carefully.

The 16-inch OLED panel runs at 2560x1600 (189 pixels per inch) and 240Hz. It is rated at 500 nits. NotebookCheck measured 490.4 nits with the near-infinite contrast OLED is known for. Color coverage is 100% sRGB and 100% P3, good enough for photo and video work. Response time is 0.4 ms, so motion stays sharp. The panel flickers at 1438 Hz (PWM) at lower brightness, which matters if you are sensitive to it. In HDR mode it reached about 970 nits, and it supports G-Sync and Windows VRR down to 60 Hz.

NotebookCheck measured 53.9 dB(A) under load and 22.9 dB(A) at idle. Under full load it is loud enough to need headphones. The hottest surface reached 42.6 °C.

Fans hit about 54 dB(A) while gaming on Performance mode, but switching to Balanced dropped that to around 40 dB(A) at some cost in graphics performance.

The battery is 99.9Wh, as large as any gaming laptop we list. NotebookCheck got 5 hours 24 minutes of Wi-Fi browsing, but only 48 minutes under full load. A full charge takes about 1 hour 30 minutes. Lenovo's own battery rating: 99.9Wh models: MobileMark 30 at 250 nits 2.85 hr; local 1080p video at 150 nits 6.25 hr. Fast charging: Super Rapid Charge: 0-30% in 10 min, 0-70% in 30 min, 0-100% in 80 min.

Materials: Aluminum top and bottom (anodized). At 2.64 kg it is heavier than 96% of the gaming laptops we list. It measures 364.38 x 275.94 x 21.9-26.65 mm. Small but fairly stable hinges with slight teetering when the angle is adjusted. The Gen 10 redesign grows the footprint to make room for a larger rear cooling section, so it is noticeably bulkier than thin rivals like the Razer Blade 16 or ROG Zephyrus G16. The all-black aluminum finish picks up fingerprints very quickly.

The whole system drew around 320 W in Cyberpunk 2077, and the bundled 400 W power brick alone weighs about 1.2 kg.

The membrane keyboard carries over from the previous Legion generation and offers deeper travel with firmer feedback than most thin laptops, plus full-size arrow keys, though the numpad keys are narrower than the main keys. The backlight is per-key RGB.

The 12 x 7.5 cm clickpad tracks smoothly and reliably, but it is short for vertical movement and its click feels shallow and soft.

It has 1x Thunderbolt 4, which runs docks, fast external drives and displays over one cable. It can drive up to 3 external displays. It charges over USB-C.

Only one of the two USB-C ports offers Thunderbolt 4, while the other handles charging, and all ports now sit on the sides with none at the back.

Webcam: 5MP (1440p30) with electronic shutter, no IR. Speakers: 4 speakers: 2x 2W woofers and 2x 2W tweeters, Nahimic Audio.
