Lenovo LOQ 15IRH8 (Core i7-13700H, RTX 4060, 16GB) Review
This LOQ 15IRH8 configuration steps up to a 14-core Core i7-13700H and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU with 8GB VRAM, paired with 16GB of dual-channel DDR5-5200.
Same chassis as the entry LOQ, meaningfully more GPU. The RTX 4060's 140W ceiling and the extra 6 P-cores over the i5 config make this the LOQ 15IRH8 configuration actually worth running modern titles at 1080p high settings, though both memory slots are already filled.
Performance
Lenovo rates this RTX 4060 configuration at up to 140W, a real step up from the 4050's 95W in the sibling SKU. Combined with the i7-13700H's extra P-cores, this is the LOQ 15IRH8 build that can hold 1080p high settings in current titles rather than just esports frame rates.
Upgradability
RAM: partially. Two SO-DIMM slots, both populated with 8GB modules for 16GB dual channel. There's no free slot, so a RAM upgrade means replacing both sticks. Storage: yes. Two M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 slots, one free for a second SSD.
Battery life
The same 60Wh battery as the rest of the LOQ 15IRH8 line has to serve a hungrier GPU here. Expect light-load runtime similar to the i5 configuration and a shorter unplugged gaming window given the higher power ceiling.
Display
Identical 144Hz 1080p IPS panel to the rest of the series. It is the right match for this GPU tier, capable of feeding well past 144fps in esports titles and staying close to it in heavier ones.
Design and ports
Same 2.4kg chassis, same port selection, no Thunderbolt. The higher-power components inside make the cooling-first design choice easier to justify here than on the i5 configuration.
