The T14 remains ThinkPad's serviceable business mainstay, with two accessible SO-DIMM slots and a MIL-SPEC tested frame.

Expert rating7.5 / 10

The ThinkPad T14 Gen 5 is a straightforward corporate laptop with a Core Ultra 7 155U, 16GB of DDR5 and a 14-inch 1920x1080 IPS screen at 1.38 kg. A free SO-DIMM slot supports up to 64GB, and Thunderbolt 4 with WiFi 6E covers docking and wireless.

Graphics are integrated, so keep it away from heavy 3D or creative work. There is one M.2 slot and it is occupied by the 512GB drive, and the 60Hz 57Wh configuration is competent rather than exciting.

Best for

  • IT-serviced corporate fleets

Not for

  • Graphics-intensive work
