Microsoft Surface Laptop 7 15" for Business Review

Microsoft Surface Laptop 7 15 inch for Business, Intel Core Ultra 7 268V, 32GB LPDDR5X, 512GB removable NVMe SSD, PixelSense Flow 120Hz touchscreen, Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 7, Windows 11 Pro.

The larger 15-inch Surface Laptop for Business pairs the higher Core Ultra 7 268V bin with 32GB of memory and the longest battery life in the lineup.

Performance

Intel Core Ultra 7 268V (Lunar Lake), the top CPU bin offered on the 15-inch chassis, paired with integrated Intel Arc Graphics and a 48 TOPS NPU.

Upgradability

32GB of LPDDR5X is soldered, fixed for the machine's life. The 512GB SSD sits in the same single removable M.2 2230 slot design as the 13.8-inch model; serviceable, but not expandable alongside a second drive.

Battery life

66Wh battery, Microsoft-rated up to roughly 14 hours of web use and up to 22 hours of video playback, the longest runtime in the Surface Laptop 7 lineup.

Display

15-inch PixelSense Flow touchscreen, 2496x1664 (201 PPI), dynamic refresh up to 120Hz, 600 nits SDR/HDR peak, 3:2 aspect ratio.

Design and ports

1.66kg. Two USB-C (USB4/Thunderbolt 4), one USB-A 3.1 Gen 2, 3.5mm jack, Surface Connect port. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.

Expert rating8 / 10

The Surface Laptop 7 15 has a 15-inch 2496-wide touch display at 120Hz and 600 nits, a Core Ultra 7 268V with 32GB of LPDDR5X and a 66Wh battery. It suits business buyers who multitask heavily and want Thunderbolt 4, WiFi 7 and Copilot+ hardware at 1.66 kg.

The 32GB of memory is soldered and there is one M.2 slot, so you cannot expand either. Graphics are integrated, and anyone prioritizing portability may prefer the smaller 13.8-inch version.

Best for

  • Business buyers who want the largest screen and longest battery in the line
  • Users who multitask heavily and want 32GB of memory
  • Anyone standardizing on Copilot+ certified hardware at scale

Not for

  • Anyone wanting to add RAM after purchase, it's soldered
  • Buyers needing a second internal storage slot
  • Portability-first buyers, the 13.8-inch model is lighter
