NEC PC-VP-BP98 AC adapter for the NEC LAVIE N15 (2020 to 2021 AA and CA models).
PC-VP-BP98 is NEC's genuine standard adapter for the lower CPU tier LAVIE N15 models: N1585AAL, N1575AA, N1565AA, N1535AA, N1515AA, N1510AAW, N1585CAL, N1565CA, N1555CA and N1530CA. NEC confirms the size (about 94 x 41 x 30mm) and weight (about 192g). The 20V 2.25A (45W) output comes from a reseller, and the plug is not confirmed. Higher tier N15 models such as N1575BA and N1575CA use the 240g PC-VP-BP103, so check your full model code.

Connector and wattage checks
The adapter follows the CPU tier, not the series. NEC's catalog lists the N1566/CA at 192g (this unit) and the N1576/CA at 240g (PC-VP-BP103). Our data has the N1575AA on this adapter but the N1575BA and N1575CA on BP103.
The plug is not confirmed. Do not assume BP98 and BP103 share a connector until you have compared them.
Wattage is a floor. A 45W unit on a 65W machine can fail to charge under load.

FAQs
Can I use the 65W PC-VP-BP103 on my N1565CA?
Only if the voltage and plug match. Higher wattage at the same voltage is safe, but NEC does not publish either adapter's plug on the pages we read. Compare the two plugs before trying it.
Why does my LAVIE say plugged in, not charging?
If it is a higher tier N15 that shipped with PC-VP-BP103, a 45W BP98 can be the cause: a lower wattage adapter can power the laptop at idle and refuse to charge under load.
How do I tell BP98 from BP103?
By size and weight. NEC lists BP98 at about 94 x 41 x 30mm and 192g, and BP103 at about 108.5 x 46.5 x 29.5mm and 240g.
