The Noctua NH-U9S is a compact single-tower air cooler built for mATX and space-constrained builds, using a narrow slim tower and one 92mm fan to keep height and RAM overhang low. Four heatpipes carry roughly 130W, a sensible match for mainstream non-overclocked CPUs.

Thermal Performance

Four heatpipes and a slim asymmetrical fin stack give roughly 130W of capacity, plenty for mainstream non-overclocked processors while staying well short of flagship dual-tower territory.

Fan Design and Noise

A single NF-A9x14 92mm PWM fan stays under 23 dBA at normal loads, prioritizing acoustics over maximum airflow given the compact size, and the asymmetrical tower keeps the first RAM slot clear on most boards.
