Satechi USB4 Pro Hub Review

The Satechi USB4 Pro Hub is a USB4 hub with 8 total ports, 96W pass-through charging, dual 4K@60Hz display support, and an aluminum unibody design for ~$180.

Satechi's aluminum shell matches MacBook Pro finishes closely enough that reviewers regularly mistake it for an Apple accessory, and the unibody design keeps it rigid enough to sit under a laptop without flexing. 96W of pass-through charging lets a single USB4 cable power the laptop while driving dual 4K displays, which is specifically enough headroom for 14-inch MacBook Pro users who also need HDMI and DisplayPort outputs simultaneously. Versus the Anker 555 8-in-1 Hub, that trades USB4 bandwidth for a lower price on USB-C only, worth it for buyers without a USB4/Thunderbolt-certified laptop port. Versus the Razer USB4 Dock, that adds more total ports and Ethernet for a moderate price premium, worth it for buyers who need wired networking.
