SilverStone AR12 Review

The SilverStone AR12 is a compact low-profile air cooler purpose-built for small form factor builds, standing just 69mm tall so it clears cramped SFF and HTPC cases where a standard tower cooler simply won't fit, at the cost of a modest 95W TDP ceiling.

Thermal Performance

Four direct-contact heatpipes and a 92mm fan handle roughly 95W of TDP, enough for mainstream non-overclocked CPUs in small form factor builds but well short of what any tower cooler offers.

Design and Build

At just 69mm tall, the AR12 clears low-profile SFF and HTPC cases that a full-size tower cooler cannot fit into at all, making case compatibility the primary reason to choose it over a taller, better-cooling alternative.
