StarTech SV211HDUA4K Review

The StarTech SV211HDUA2 is a 2-port HDMI KVM switch with 4K@30Hz support, a USB 3.0 hub, and both hotkey and button switching.

StarTech aimed this at buyers who need only two computers switched without the rack-mount hardware or dual-view features of its larger SV431 and SV231 series, keeping the chassis small enough for a cramped desk. Including a full-speed USB 3.0 hub on a 2-port switch at this price undercuts several competitors that reserve USB 3.0 for pricier 4-port models. Versus the ATEN CS782DP, that's DisplayPort-based with full 4K@60Hz, worth it for buyers wanting smoother motion. Versus the J-Tech Digital JTECH-KV41, that supports 4 computers instead of 2, worth it for buyers managing more machines.
