The StarTech UVCHDCAP is a compact, driver-free HDMI capture dongle recording 1080p30 with 1080p60 passthrough, small enough to travel with and simple enough to need zero setup.

This is StarTech's Cam Link-style compact dongle, small, UVC-compliant, no drivers, works as a plain webcam source the moment you plug it in. The 1080p30 capture cap keeps it firmly in the budget and casual-use tier rather than gaming-capture territory, but for quick DSLR-to-Zoom or simple presentation capture, it's genuinely convenient to just carry in a laptop bag.

Small, Simple, Driver-Free

There's no companion app to install, plug it into a laptop and any conferencing or capture software treats it as a webcam immediately, which is the entire pitch for anyone who just wants a camera-to-USB adapter that works.
