Blackmagic Design Web Presenter vs Elgato HD60 S+: Comparison

There is a split on max recording resolution as well, 1080p60 on the Blackmagic Design Web Presenter versus 1080p60 HDR10 on the Elgato HD60 S+. They differ on passthrough resolution too, 1080p60 on the Blackmagic Design Web Presenter versus 4K60 HDR10 on the Elgato HD60 S+. Who each one is for
The Blackmagic Design Web Presenter is the one to take for professional presenters switching between two SDI or HDMI camera feeds and corporate or house-of-worship AV setups needing hardware switching with tally, though it is not built for simple single-camera streamers who don't need hardware switching. The same goes for studios that need a clean UVC webcam output for Zoom or Teams from broadcast gear. It is the wrong buy for console or PC gaming capture, since there's no HDR or 4K support. Take the Elgato HD60 S+ for console streamers who want HDR10 capture at 1080p60 with clean 4K passthrough to their display. It is not the one for anyone who specifically needs native 4K recording for YouTube uploads, step up to the 4K S instead. Our rating of the Blackmagic Design Web Presenter (8/10): excellent for professional two-camera presenting setups that need to output as a plain webcam. Overkill and the wrong tool for gaming capture. Our rating of the Elgato HD60 S+ (8/10): HDR10 capture at 1080p60 with clean 4K60 passthrough, the middle rung of Elgato's lineup done well.
