What is the difference between be quiet! Silent Wings Pro 4 140mm PWM and Noctua NF-A12x25 G2 PWM?
On airflow the spread is 35%, be quiet! Silent Wings Pro 4 140mm PWM 97.4 CFM against Noctua NF-A12x25 G2 PWM 63.15 CFM, so be quiet! Silent Wings Pro 4 140mm PWM takes it. Add static pressure to that, 3.64 mmH2O on the be quiet! Silent Wings Pro 4 140mm PWM versus 3.14 mmH2O on the Noctua NF-A12x25 G2 PWM, and the pattern holds. Add max speed to that, 2400 RPM on the be quiet! Silent Wings Pro 4 140mm PWM versus 1800 RPM on the Noctua NF-A12x25 G2 PWM, and the pattern holds. Warranty runs the same way, 5 years on the be quiet! Silent Wings Pro 4 140mm PWM versus 6 years on the Noctua NF-A12x25 G2 PWM, another win for Noctua NF-A12x25 G2 PWM.
Who each one is for
The be quiet! Silent Wings Pro 4 140mm PWM suits 280mm and 420mm AIO radiators and Quiet high-pressure builds, though it is the wrong buy for RGB-focused builds and open mesh cases where pressure is wasted. Take the Noctua NF-A12x25 G2 PWM for buyers wanting one fan that goes anywhere and cares about quiet, the current best overall for this combination. The same goes for radiator mounts and restrictive front panels needing a genuine static-pressure improvement. It is not the one for tight budgets filling an entire case, the Arctic P12 PST 5-pack delivers roughly 85% of the performance for a fraction of the cost.
