Who each one is for
The Adder Technology Adder ALIF1104T is the one to take for enterprise IP KVM matrix deployments across many rooms and HDMI workstations needing centralized network-routed access, though it is not built for small single-room point-to-point extension needs and DisplayPort or 4K/5K workstation resolutions. The Gefen EXT-DPKA-LANS-TX suits budget-conscious 4K DisplayPort workstation extension over a network and point-to-point installs that don't need enterprise IP KVM matrix software, though it is not the pick for large-scale enterprise deployments needing centralized matrix management and buyers without a matching EXT-DPKA-LANS-RX receiver. It also earns its place with buyers comparing price against the pricier Emerald and ATEN 4K/5K lines. Our rating of the Adder Technology Adder ALIF1104T (8/10): A strong HDMI-based enterprise IP KVM transmitter for buyers already invested in the ADDERLink Infinity ecosystem.
