Adder Technology Adder ALIF1104T vs SmartAVI SKMN-8S 8-Port Secure KM Switch: which one fits your build
The Adder Technology Adder ALIF1104T suits enterprise IP KVM matrix deployments across many rooms and HDMI workstations needing centralized network-routed access, though it is the wrong buy for small single-room point-to-point extension needs and DisplayPort or 4K/5K workstation resolutions. The SmartAVI SKMN-8S 8-Port Secure KM Switch is the one to take for 8-system SOC/NOC watch floors with independent video matrices and analysts rotating across eight isolated classified networks, though it is not the pick for sites requiring CAC/PIV switching (use the SKMN-8S-P instead) and desks needing bundled video switching in the same unit. Our rating of the Adder Technology Adder ALIF1104T (8/10): A strong HDMI-based enterprise IP KVM transmitter for buyers already invested in the ADDERLink Infinity ecosystem. Our rating of the SmartAVI SKMN-8S 8-Port Secure KM Switch (7.7/10): A cost-effective way to put eight classified systems behind one keyboard and mouse when video switching is handled by a separate secure matrix.
