Who each one is for
The Acer Chromebook Plus 515 is the one to take for students and light users who live mostly in the browser and households wanting a low-maintenance, managed ChromeOS device, though it is not the pick for anyone needing Windows or macOS software compatibility and offline-heavy workflows, ChromeOS assumes frequent connectivity. It suits students and households that live in the browser and want a simple, managed ChromeOS laptop. Storage is only 128GB with no extra slot, and the RAM is soldered, so there is no upgrade path. It also has no Thunderbolt and cannot run Windows or macOS software.
