Who each one is for
The Dell Inspiron 15 3535 suits basic browsing and productivity and budget-conscious buyers, though it is the wrong buy for multitasking-heavy workloads and gaming. The HP Laptop 15-fd is the one to take for A same-day DDR5 RAM upgrade to 32GB and light AI-assisted workloads that benefit from the on-die NPU, though it is not the pick for sustained heavy workloads or gaming and buyers who want all-day battery life. The same goes for buyers who want the newer Core Ultra platform in this chassis. It is not the one for anyone trying to reuse DDR4 RAM from the older 15-fd configuration. Our rating of the Dell Inspiron 15 3535 (5.4/10): the Inspiron 15 3535 is a 15.6-inch laptop with a Ryzen 3 7320U, 8GB of LPDDR5 and a 256GB drive. At 1.63 kg with a 41Wh battery, it covers basic browsing, documents and light home use, which is what an entry-level machine should do. The 1366 x 768 TN panel is the weak point, with limited viewing angles and low sharpness. The 8GB is soldered, so multitasking-heavy users and anyone who wants to upgrade should look elsewhere.
