Which should you buy, Framework Laptop 13 DIY Edition or HP Pavilion Aero 13?
The Framework Laptop 13 DIY Edition suits right-to-repair buyers who want a laptop designed to be opened and tinkerers who value modular, swappable ports over fixed I/O, though it is not the pick for buyers who want the thinnest or lightest possible 13-inch laptop and users prioritizing brand-name support networks over DIY assembly. It also earns its place with anyone who wants to self-upgrade RAM or storage down the line. It is the wrong buy for anyone who wants Windows or macOS preinstalled out of the box. Buy the HP Pavilion Aero 13 for frequent travelers who prioritize low weight above all else and buyers who want strong battery efficiency from AMD's mobile platform, though it is the wrong buy for anyone wanting to upgrade RAM or add storage later and creative professionals needing discrete graphics.
Where the two are identical
