We have found no Acer parts listing for a larger pack in the A515-54, A515-55 or A515-58M. Buy the 50.29Wh AP18C8K. A pack with a different code or voltage is not a safe swap without a listing for your exact model.

Why does my laptop say the battery is not genuine?

We have found no published source on how Acer firmware treats a non-Acer pack, so we cannot promise a third-party clone will run without a warning. An OEM AP18C8K is what the machine shipped with and we expect it to run without warnings. If you see a warning, check the code and the voltage on the new label first.

Why did my new AP18C8K arrive at 30 percent?

Because it has to. IATA rules in force since 1 January 2026 require lithium ion batteries like this 50.29Wh pack to travel by air at no more than 30 percent of rated capacity. A low pack on arrival is correct. Charge it to full in the laptop and run it through a normal cycle before deciding anything about its health.
